I'm pooped.
March begins the busy season here in Charleston, so forgive me if I don’t post much as of late. This week includes a fundraiser, a film premiere, a magazine launch, one of my favorites from NYC coming to town, Brewvivial, a brunch shift, and another fundraiser. Whew.
Also - just realized it’s not even March yet.
Tell your senator to vote for the bipartisan amendment for bicycles!
Adorable dinner party video Monday from Bon Appetempts reminds me, I need more video for the blog.
People are funny. We all just want to be accepted. Once you learn that - you’re free.
I just found myself huffing hot breath (minty fresh!) into the air so it would blow back into my face as I biked. Needless to say, it’s brrrrrr here.
I dreamt that I moved to Chicago for grad school (because everyone needs a second Masters degree, duh) and my bike broke on the first hill* it encountered. Thanks, Chicago.
*(edit) I had no idea Chicago doesn’t have hills! Never been there. Also, I live below sea level, everything with a slight incline is a hill.

Years ago, it blundered by not designing and building the bridge so that it would accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists.
Now it is banning bicyclists and pedestrians from the bridge instead of looking for ways to make it safe for them. Banning them leaves bicyclists...
Anonymous asked: Stumbled on your blog by googling "Charleston Bike Culture". Got any recommendations for a bike shop to purchase a cheap beater for a 5 week stint in your home town here? I'm at the FLETC for training, down from Ohio and it was cost prohibitive to ship my bike down.
Anonymous asked: You have no pics of hot dames on bikes wearing heels. What gives?
Do it! (if you live in the Charleston area)
